“A few years ago, in the bustling streets of a city far from home, a group of students found themselves longing for something more than just sustenance—they craved the warmth, love, and nostalgia of home-cooked meals. The aroma of their mother’s spices, the comfort of a freshly made chapati, the taste of a perfectly balanced dal—these were not just flavors, but memories woven into every bite.
Struggling to find food that felt like home, they faced the daily challenge of eating meals that lacked not just nutrition but the emotional connection that made every dish special. Whether it was students cramming for exams, professionals pulling late-night shifts, or elderly people longing for the flavors of their childhood, the need was clear—people deserved better, healthier, and more meaningful meals.
Driven by this desire, these young dreamers embarked on a mission. They weren’t chefs, but they understood food. They weren’t businessmen, but they knew the value of home. What started as a small initiative—cooking for a handful of friends—quickly turned into a passion-driven movement. Word spread, and soon, more and more people wanted a taste of what they had to offer.
Committed to quality, affordability, and convenience, Delicious Dabbas was born. Every meal prepared here is more than just food—it’s a heartfelt attempt to bring back the warmth of home, even when home is miles away. From a wholesome, traditional thali to a comforting bowl of khichdi, every dish is prepared with love, ensuring that each bite brings joy, nourishment, and a sense of belonging. Today, Delicious Dabbas stands as a beacon of hope for students, professionals, and families, proving that no matter where life takes you, a taste of home is never too far away.”
Co-founder & CTO
As an individual, when I live away from home I have problems with food quality, cost and availability. Sometimes I have to eat noodles to satisfy my hunger because it's rare to get food like home. Also, what is available often becomes a substitute. So our aim is to solve these problems.
